Years 1257-1464
Since the naming of Kymbri

Isolation and the Branwell Era
-overview-

The history of Kymbri is long and complicated. Having existed for over 1400 years without any significant invasion, does not mean that they were exempt from foreign wars, coups, civil wars, uprisings, and political maneuvering.

Almost two hundred years ago, Skaldan became embroiled in a war with Zarmatia after they annexed a large swath of territory. Negotiations went sour and Skaldan declared war for the insult. Keeping to their treaty, Kymbri became involved and peacefully tried to resolve the situation. This changed when Zarmatia killed a Kymbrian ambassador and made his children veneti. The war lasted two years and fueled a growing xenophobic trend in Kymbri. Many did not think it was their place to interfere. This grew into attacks on foreigners in Kymbri, which only grew in fervour during the first half of this era.

Technological revolution sums up the later half of this period
. The starting point being the grand Druidic assembly changing land ownership. While technically in the owner's control, it would be guided by a new Druidic branch. This assembly also allowed the monied to act as investors and were encouraged to do so for the returns. Next were new means of travel using steam and water power which was then used in the mechanization of textile mills and factories. Electricity began playing a prominent role as soon as it was discovered, All of this overseen by different braches of the Druidi. Because of this oversight, the most approved means of travel across the country were airships and balloons.
During this later half, a war broke out in Palmyrene ruled Egypt. Zarmatia and Tengra invaded down the Nile delta. A distraction as Tengra sent troops over Palmyra's northern border. The Palmyrene's called for aide, mainly from the substantial forces of the Celti-pact, of which Kymbri was the head, and Kymbri was not interested. With Gallia, Gaelland and Eire being, for all tense and purposes, under vague Kymbrian leadership, they also refused. High-patricians however, put pressure upon the cened, who then allowed a small amount of specialized units to join the war as long as the high-patricians who begged for it went, or sent a son or daughter in their stead. Many of them died, for the Nile war was exceedingly bloody and desperate. Still, the Palmyrene's won in the end.
These 200 years are considered the Branwell era, for subsequent Teyrn's were of this line. This line officially ended during the first Mithran war which brought in the Aurelian age.
