Servus
Servus(serwos) is latin for servant, or slave. Within Mithras, male servus are called servi and female servus are called serva.
The stereotype of a servus is someone with a shaven head, a large circular brand on the neck, and destined to starve and die in the Italeen fields. While most of that is true, there are just as many trusted servus serving their masters directly and when citizens of Mithras.
That being said, Mithras runs on slavery and have little qualms about enslaving entire populations
The Verna
The servus that serve their masters directly resemble bloodlined gilla in Kymbri. They are families born to serve and immensely loyal to their owners. The divide between these servus and the shaved servus is wider than the bloodlined and three-choice gilla.
They are educated to a high degree, to the point where a prerequisite to rise to be a part of this group is the ability to recite an epic poem by memory.
Instra Verna
These are Vera with specialities. This can include storyteller, craftsman, bodyguard, and elder(entrusted to instruct younger verna) If the Mithrans enslave a highly skilled person from another land, that person might be placed in this category.
The Rusta
While the stereotype of a shaven head and branded neck is true, few starve. However, many are worked to death, especially in mining, and that goes doubly so in the Blue Isles where the enslaved natives are given little regard. This group in Mithras is by far the largest, and hence, has experienced many servile insurrections, but like most slave rebellions, they failed. However, they all resulted in reforms within Mithra's servus code.
These types are, mostly, treated worse than any gilla, asel, or Veneti. This is why others in similar situations will often comfort themselves by saying: "At least I'm not a servus."
The Aurigani
Slave soldiers. They are looked on kindly by Mithran society and arelauded.
